Tsuran Reapply (Elemental Shaman)

Postby Tsuran » Sat Feb 23, 2008 1:11 am

Main character name:

Tsuran

Has this character always had this name?

Yup ... since day 1

Character class:

Shaman

Character race:

Drenai

Character level:

70

Character spec:

I'm 41/0/20 ... I've gone for an elemental build with focus on PVE. I've taken Elemental Precision for the aggro reduction and of course the 6% Hit rating bonus. I've also taken Nature's Guidance in the Resto tree for the 3% to hit bonus it gives. So combined with the Totem of Wrath I only need 38 Spell hit to cap. Which is nice. :)

Character tradeskill professions and levels:

Skinning : 194
Leatherworking : 375

Character heroic keys and attunements:

Attuned to all heroics and Karazan. I'm at the Al'ar section of the BT attumenment and I still need both Vials for the Hyjal attunement.

High level non trainable spells/abilities learned:

None

Total /played time:

22 Days

/played time at level 70:

10 Days

Notable factions and their level:

Revered with quite a few factions including Sha'tar for the spell damage head glyff, and I'm working on my Aldor rep currently.

Previous guild(s):

The Esoteric Church of Dagon
These guys are RL friends of mine and I really wanted to give them the best shot at raiding that I could. We cleared Kara together and I had an awesome time. But due to lack of numbers, we couldn;t move on to 25 mans. As much as it pained me to leave, I really wanted the chance to see as much content as I could.

The Circle of Hope
I joined these guys straight from the ECOD. I really like them, but their raid schedule is just a nightmare for me, and they have a bizarre way of rotating people in for different raids, so I find I'll go a month with no raids, then 2 weeks with no night off! It's a shame that I feel I have to leave.

Name, class and level of Alternate character(s):

Berek - 70 Priest
Badvok - 70 Hunter

Reasons why you would like to join:

I've read lots of the guild rules for various guilds across the server, and I've been in a raiding guild for a while now. The one thing that stands about you guys is the realisation that people have a real life outside of WoW too. I'll be honest, I'm a little desperate to join a guild that has both an organised way of raiding combined with a social aspect that also allows me to have a life outside a video game!

Also ... you guys have been around for a long time. I remember seeing you about the place when I was but a nipper on my first character and you've survived the transission through to TBC and I'm looking for a guild that I can be part of for a long time and survive the change over into WotLK. I see that potential in you.

Were all of the above characters levelled by you from the start?:

Yes

Your real age:

26 years young

I thought I pop in a few things about myself at the end in case it matters. I've been playing WoW for 3 years now and I'm still loving it. I work in a Computer Games shop in Birmingham and have been an avid gamer since my days playing C=64 games back on a B&W TV. I've had quite a bit of raid experience with TBC and Pre-TBC, so I like to think that I know what I'm doing. If you have any questions for me then I'll be checking this post quite a bit and I'm online most evenings and quite a bit during the day on my days off. Cheers guys.

Good luck on the application, Andy. Hmm....having another Andy might get confusing on TS if you get accepted though.....You don't happen to sing, do you?

Ooh I don't think anyone will confuse "our" Andy with anyone else.

Thanks for the application; have forwarded it to the officer board for discussion. We like to give everyone a chance to have their say if they want to so please don't expect an immediate reply.

Hi Tsuran,

Apologies for not posting earlier, I have been away for a couple of days.

I wondered how good your healing set was, on occasion non-resto shamans are asked to beef up the healing from time to time. what unbuffed +heal and mp5 (in combat) do you have?

Thanks

It's pretty good ... I've been working on it a bit. I currently have 1.1k bonus heal and about 180mp5 with water shield on. I'm working on it however as I quite enjoy healing. Trying to get additional pieces of tier 4 and karazhan stuff. I haven't gotten any of it enchanted yet however.

Careful Nhkari, Viox (on those forums under name of 'Kizzy') is (often enought) in charge of keepin' melee alive, I'd advise avoiding disagreein'/upsettin' her if you like your repair bills to be low ;) (that is, should your application get accepted)

Back to the topic (while it may be a bit disappointing for possible recruit to see his/her apply being goofed around with, random 'bumps' keep the thread alive and keep officer's attention, look on bright side ;)) nice application, wish you good luck with it. I belive you have tried speaking with CoH officers about this, rather unusual, raid rotation? Officers are just people remember, and sometimes some matters elude their attention :) One (often long) honest talk can often solve such problems, and in AG PG we certainly prefer people to speak up (preferably via whisper/PM to Class leader/officer) whenenver there is something that bugs them. (please, don't take this as personal attack, that's not my intention :)).

Either way, good luck with your application :)

To be honest I find it quite flattering that people are posting random comments and opinions on my app. It means at least that I've caught someones eye!

Chain heal is the finest healing spell in the world as well BTW. Of course very little beats Chain Lightning on the DPS side of things!

Three words for you my friend -

Seed

Of

Corruption

<Watches all the Warlocks burst into manic grins of pure evil 'I've just seen lots of big numbers'ness.>

Yeah alright ... I'll give you seed of corruption. However ... A well placed chain lightning will set off three seeds of corruption at once ... causing a defestating chain reaction of destruction. Now ... was it the chain lightning that did that? Or was it the Seed of corruption?

Warlocks might plant the bombs, but shammies detonate them! Muhahaha!

Meh I can detonate them myself with a Hellfire
