Ok, I am wondering, currently i have ArP rating 623 (44,51%) when is it worth to try gemming ArP all the way? Can i try now or do i need more "base" arp or what you should call it? Need some help because im totally clueless on these things  _________________

I have no idea for blood DK's, but for warriors it's pretty much arp all the way once you start getting ICC gear. We, however, have an awesomesauce spreadsheet to help us out, dunno if there is anything like that for a DK. _________________ "Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day. | I ran a quick calculator, don't know if it's any good and I don't know death knights but it said to gem Strength, even when at 90% ArP .... Maybe Roop can give you a good answer, he has a copy of the EJ forums under his pillow. |

For Kitties we want to hit around 70% crit first, then switch to Ar Pen.
Is crit a big deal for Blood DKs? Strength makes a lot of sense. _________________

Short answer... unless you are on 97%+ then its not worth it
longer answer...there is a really good simulator that on the elitist jerks forums.. it is not worth a DK gemming ARP untill you hit nearly full 277 heroic gear.
pre-heroic, even full 264 level, its either strengh or strengh/crit for a DK
(by strengh/crit i refer to getting the socket bonus on items with +6 strenth where the socket is say red + yellow or 2 red + 1 yellow. )
or the "magic" number for a blood DK is really around the 75% FROM GEAR ALONE! in armour pen. then the gems and talents on top take you to the 97-100% where it makes it worth it. (remember that you still need hit and expertise)
even then, 100% armour pen builds is not ideal on some fights, as say on a AoE fight, it only accounts for 70% of your DPS, where strengh, even if "slightly" lower down on the stats weightings, always accounts for 100% of your dps. |
